Introduction:
Six Sigma is a proven business initiative that produces breakthrough improvements in quality, delivery, customer
satisfaction and profitability through rigorous collection and analysis of data. In Six Sigma implementation,
Champions are executive or management leaders responsible for identifying, prioritizing, chartering and managing
Six Sigma improvement projects led by Black Belts. They are responsible for removing organisational barriers to the
success of Black Belt projects, and may also lead projects in their own areas of business responsibility. To play
their roles well, Champions need have a good understanding of Six Sigma concepts and methodology. This 2-day
programme teaches the Six Sigma concepts and tools that Six Sigma Champions must have to select each Six Sigma
project, lead their Six Sigma teams through each phase of the project and clear any obstacles and roadblocks those
teams might face, both inside and outside the organization. Emphasis is on the executive and business aspects of
Six Sigma projects. As proper project identification and selection is critical to Six Sigma success, this programme
also focuses on how to identify, select and prioritise projects and set realistic expectations that ultimately
