Introduction:
The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) outlines the methods used for approval of production and service
commodities, including bulk materials, up to and including part submission warrant in the Advanced Quality Planning
process. It focuses on determining if all customer engineering, design record, and specification requirements are
properly understood by the supplier, and that the production process has the potential to meet these requirements
during an actual production run at the quoted production rate.
This course addresses the purpose of PPAP, provides an overview of each of the elements required for PPAP. It also
provides an overview of each of the submission levels and the required documentation.
