Leading People – The Way It Is Today
Participants will learn that employees/subordinates today have different needs from their predecessors. They expect more from their managers, leaders and organization. They want to develop personally; they value freedom and independence. With the constraints of working within a system, participants will brainstorm on what needs to be changed when leading people.
Common Pitfalls of Leading People
Participants will learn about the common pitfalls in managing people and how to avoid them. They will be introduced to real organizational case studies that demonstrate what people managers do to lose the respects of their employees. They will connect with what they see in their own organization and discuss implications.
Developing Essential People Management Skills
Participants will learn how to develop essentials skills for leading people in the current organizational environment. The skills include:
