Introduction:
The ISO 9001 Standard has undergone a revision and the latest version ISO 9001: 2008 has been released. The new
revision is not intended to change requirements, but it is focused on clarifying existing requirements, eliminating
the need for sanctioned interpretations, correcting known errors in the standard, and improving compatibility with
ISO 14001.
It is imperative for organisations implementing ISO 9001:2000 to upgrade their knowledge of the 2008 version and to
be able to identify the changes that they may have to make in their systems and documentations to maintain
compliance with the standard and to continue their certification.
This workshop is intended to provide participants with a detailed understanding of the changes made to the ISO 9001
and the correct interpretation of the requirements. Each change will be reviewed, including the rationale for the
change. The workshop will help participants to identify actions the organisation may need to take in relation to
the changes. The workshop will also highlight the transition process from the 2000 version to the 2008 version.
