Introduction:
Hoshin Balanced Scorecard (Hoshin BSC) is an integration of two powerful methodologies, Hoshin Kanri
(Hoshin), and Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
Hoshin Kanri (Hoshin) is a proven system for linking strategy with daily management. It provides a planning,
implementation and review process for change management. Hoshin adopts a systems approach to the management of
change in critical business processes using a step-by-step planning, implementation, and review process.
The Balanced Scorecard (BSC), on the other hand, is a strategic planning and management system that is used to
align business activities to the vision and strategy of an organisation, improve internal and external
communications, and monitor organisation performance against strategic goals. The Balanced Scorecard framework
translates an organisation's vision into a set of performance indicators distributed among four perspectives -
Financial, Customer, Internal Business Processes, and Learning and Growth.
This 2-day training will provide participants with a good understanding of Hoshin Kanri and Balanced Scorecard, how
to combine them into an integrated Hoshin BSC methodology, and how to effectively deploy and apply this
powerful methodology. At the end of the workshop, participants will be ready to plan and deploy Hoshin BSC within
the organisation.
