Introduction:

Companies who wish to conduct businesses in Singapore need to ensure that their operations comply with the environmental legal requirements instituted by the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and other relevant authorities. Non-compliance to the legal requirements could pose as a business risk to the organisation as the authorities may impose a hefty fine or require the company to cease operations until compliance status is achieved or both.

Companies therefore need to be proactive in identifying applicable legislation and ensuring continual compliance to these legislations.
