Introduction:
Environmental aspects and impacts are the driving force behind any environmental management system, yet
identifying them can be the most challenging part of implementing an environmental management system (EMS).
This 2-day course covers both legal requirements and EMS system requirements for aspects identification and
inclusion in the EMS documentation. Exercises include practical how-to approaches, documentation requirements,
common measurement practices, and sample document formats and suggestion to simplify the identification,
measurement, and monitoring processes. During this course, participants will learn a proven method for identifying
environmental aspects and impacts using the process approach. They will also learn how to involve everyone in their
organisation and get buy-in from all levels.

Environmental Management System (EMS) coordinators or team members in an organisation tasked with identifying
environmental aspects and impacts for the organisation.
